Keynote at ECOBUILD America

Dr Andrew Marsh will be joining forces with Paul Seletsky (SOM), Alan Hudin (Gehry Tech.) & Chuck Eastman (Georgia Tech.) this Wednesday (16th May 2007) for the first keynote speech at ECOBUILD America 2007; "Beyond BIM: Toward Integrative, Performance Driven Design Methodologies".

These four organisations have been collaborating extensively over the last 6 months; advancing the use of BIM, green building and process performance. The focus of which has been the interoperability between ECOTECT and Digital Project for CATIA. This keynote is an opportunity to view in detail the exciting progress that they have already achieved, plus their future expectations for green building design and the vital role it will play in day-to-day design workflows.

Date: Wednesday, 16th May, 2007

There is also the opportunity to catch up with each member of the team and put to them your own questions and insights, at the ECOBUILD Exhibition on the 16th and 17th of May. Join them at the "Interoperability Center" (booths #100 & #106) to see live demonstrations of these exciting new implementations as well as their existing technologies.

Keynote Overview:

Building Information Modeling holds the promise of integrating multiple performance, building quality and building delivery aspects through comprehensive 3D centric project databases. Despite the recent successes in BIM adoption for the purposes of integrated project documentation, much of the enhanced potential of BIM in integrating design intentions, project performance and project delivery remain "beyond BIM" as many such systems are currently configured.

The keynote of the AEC-ST / Ecobuild conference will feature the work of an initiative between four organizations, each of which are forces for advancement of BIM, green building and process performance efforts in their own right. The presentation will present the individual works of these firms, discuss the imperative behind the joint development initiative and include a discussion of their efforts to drive design intelligence across disparate design and performance intentions through interoperability standards.

East coast lectures soon?

comment posted by alex :: 25 May 2007 - 12:53pm

Is Andrew expected to give any conferences on the east-coast any-time soon?

If at all possible, please post events a little bit more in advance (at least a week before). This would help those of us who need to travel to get to the lectures.

Thanks!
