Desktop Radiance
Hello Elena,
I have no idea what this error is.
However, I noted that it appears that your RADIANCE folder might be located under your Program Files directory. Radiance does not do well when install under multiple directeory path, partly due to spaces between the words (doesn't like it).
I would recommend you to disinstall and re-install Radiance from scratch. It really isn't difficult thanks to Caroline's post: Installing Radiance.
basically, when the wizzard asks you where to locate Radiance, be careful to select the location right under your C:/ directory.
If you follow the instructions carefully, you should get runnning in no time - well, okay, about 20 minutes.
Best,
Olivier
Radiance
Hi Oliver,
Thanks for your comment.I have disinstalled and reinstall the Radiance according to the tutorial step by step, but know I have the same problem that "Evalin" has mentioned after Caroline's tutorial:
The DOS window appears and disappears .I go into the Radtool window and choose "Interactively Render Selected View" and this message comes up "Invalid missing DRADPATH value in registry" or DOS window again appears and disappears.
I do have rad.exe in C:Radiance
I have tried to access to the page he recommended but it seems to beinaccessable.
please advise.
thank u very much
Elena
Elena, Have a look at this
Elena,
Have a look at this post.
I am not sure it is specific to your issue, but it has to do with the registry entry. Some of the links are off, as it is an older post.
Let us know if that works.
Best,
Olivier
Radiance

Forward Raytracing
Dear Elena,
Nice to meet you.
I can see your interest working with Radiance using Ecotect.
I am trying to understand how can we set a forward raytracing analysis in Ecotect and export it to Radiance.
Can you help me?
Kind regards,
Rodring
