Open plan zoning...

After reading the Natural Frequency page http://naturalfrequency.com/articles/thermalelements I have a question regarding open plan zoning. (see fig.3)
So, what are the desired properties of the (non existent)wall elements we should use to zone the open space? I would imagine that we need the thinnest, highest U value, transparent wall, so the only effect it has would be to stop air convection... Any help on this one?

I understand that a Void is the object type you are after and I am pretty sure the default properties are as you describe -- will just head off to do a double-check...
