Making new / Editing Weather Data files

How can I make a new weather file, or edit an existing file to make a new one?

I'm trying to make one for a site in Antarctica.... Has anyone already made one for Hut Point on Ross Island,
Antarctica?

Please help my Masters diploma depends upon it!

Hi Owen,

In order to make a data file for use in WeatherTool, you first need access to some raw weather data.

Weather data is usually recorded by the meteorological office for each country. In the case of Hut Point Ross Island in Antarctica, I understand this falls within the New Zealand Antarctic claim, so you may wish to try contacting them to obtain weather data. Alternatively, you could try the country whose settlement is nearest to your site.

The following data, recorded at hourly intervals, is the most valuable for use in WeatherTool :

* Air Temperature
* Relative Humidity
* Global or Direct Solar Radiation
* Diffuse Horizontal Solar Radiation
* Wind speed

It is also desirable but not essential to include:

* Wind direction
* Cloudiness
* Rainfall

Hello!

I've read but did not understand at all. How to include these data on the Programme? And about the period of these data? How much time?

I would like to make three files from three diferent cities of Brazil...And compare the simulations...Is this possible?

Thanks!
