I'd probably use data for York, Sheffield or Leeds (if you can find it). I doubt you will find any data for Wakefield specifically unless you know of a met station or airport there -- in which case I would contact them directly.

If you're keen, an averaging of data between York and Sheffield available on the weather data page might be appropriate.
