Resource Consumption

Hi,

I have modeled the offices in which I work in ecotect including all appliances etc, our offices are zero heated and naturally ventilated and I have therefore applied these settings to the model and our offices are also fossil fuel free.

However, when I calculate the office resource consumption I am getting 80000000Wh as the consumption for the office over a 12 month period on a twelve month graph with 90% of that relating to fossil fuels. But if I deselect appliances the consumption is zero.

How is this the case, I have not specified any fossil fuels are used in the office, I have only modeled the equipment and applied schedules to them. Does Ecotect assume fossil fuels automatically?

I can attach the model if this will help answer the query.

I am intending on using these figures to compare with post occupation monitoring data for my dissertation, but recognise that something is not right with these outputs.

Help on this will be greatly appreciated, my deadline is May.

Thank you

James Burton
